Azospirullum
Description:
It is a liquid formulation based on a selected strain of naturally occurring heterotrophic beneficial bacteria- Azospirillum spp. Azospirillum is associative symbiotic nitrogen fixing bacteria that colonizes the rhizosphere of various grasses and cereals. It fixes atmospheric nitrogen in available form to plants. It also plays important role in phytohormones secretion which is helpful for plant development.
Benefits:
Azospirillum can fix 20-25 kg Nitrogen per hectare.It can supplement more than 25% nitrogenous fertilizers requirement by the crop. Also, this is cost effective compared to chemical fertilizer
